By me this is hilarious... because I can't imagine anything more offputting than a male social companion (date, whatever) who *never* thinks anything is tasty, or awesome, or splendid or fantastic... I mean, a guy so zombie-cool that he has no enthusiasm, no spark, no zest or appreciation? What a downer.
Look, if you see a YT video of husky puppies and you can only say "kinda neat" when they are clearly and definitively *adorable* -- 'cos the word 'adorable' gives you a gender panic attack -- that's, I dunno, some kind of stifling of the human spirit.
Fearless use of colourful words -- for me --would be an attractant in a male friend or potential partner, and the more literate the better!
But apparently some feel that "manly" has to mean stolid, unenthusiastic, barely literate, and permanently borderline depressed? Cowboy movies have much to answer for...
