These suggestions are not even "extreme" socialism.

Extreme socialism is when you confiscate the estates of the rich and house the homeless in their mansions.

These suggestions are moderate, sober socialism of the Scandinavian type.

Some of these suggestions were considered common-sense and BIA when Eisenhower was President of the US.

We are certainly living (or dying) with Extreme Capitalism right now, but the remedies for its extremism are not themselves extreme. They are a return to empirically tested principles of sound democratic governance.

No democracy can survive the establishment of an hereditary oligarchic overclass.

No biosphere can survive infinite-growth industrial capitalism.

No locality can survive the blowtorch of global market demand focussed on its limited resources.

It's neolib laissez-tuer capitalism that is extreme. it is extreme, delusional, and ultimately suicidal. Absolutist free-market capitalism is a death cult -- like most absolutist religious manias.
